Fillable PDF not copying fields – tried on 4 devices with different results

Hello, I have a state form I have to fill out regularly for business. It is an editable form that should copy fields on to following pages after I type them in (ex. name, addresss, state, etc.).

  • I tried on Computer #1 a PC that only has Adobe Reader and I could type but the text did not copy over.
  • Then I tried on Computer #2 a PC which is older than Computer #.  I could fill out the form and the text copied over.
  • Next, I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro onto Computer #1. I had to manually type and the form was no longer reading as a fillable file.
  • Then, I tried on a Computer #3 a Mac that had Adobe Pro. The form was fillable and the text copied over.
  • I tried again on another person's device, Computer #4 a Mac with only Adobe Reader and I could see fillable fields on the first page but the text did not copy over.

I have now spent multiple hours and used multiple people's devices to try to trouble shoot this. It looks ike Adobe Acrobat Pro is the solution but for some reason it's not working on Computer #1.

Can anyone advise? Has anyone experienced this?

Thank you

Can you share the file with us?

Unfortunately no because these are tax documents with IDs listed, even when they're blank. It's a T336-1 from the Rhode Island DMV

Is this a XFA form?
