finding my partially saved unsigned doc with the work still there?

so i was working filling out a doc and i made sure to save it as i wanted to finish it after my chromebooks battery recharged when i got back on all my work was gone from the saved doc can anyone please help me find it or perhaps lead me to anouther app i can use to finish filling out the doc without feer of saving nothing? or just maybee help me understand what the point of saving the work and it not being saved anything to help explain the maddness would be great and i downloaded adobe just for this purpious and am running 23.9.1 and chromebook os Version 118.0.5993.86 (Official Build) (64-bit)
