Question

Font AdvOCR-B missing or can not be created

Hello,

we received a bill as .pdf file. When opening I get "The font AdvOCR-B is missing or can not be created".

How can I solve this problem. Unfortunately some text is not displayed correctly.

Hi Ollivetti

 

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the error 'The font AdvOCR-B is missing or can not be created'

 

Please try the following preference settings and see if that helps

 

Go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Page Display > Under Rendering Select 'Use Local Fonts' > Click OK and check

 

Also Go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Internet> Uncheck "Display in Read Mode by Default" and see if that works for you as described in a similar discussion - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/cannot-find-or-create-font/m-p/3880368#M6776
