Font "Arial" cannot be found or created

Hello,

An employee is getting the error message, that Arial cannot be found or created, almost every time he opens a .pdf file with Acrobat Reader.

I tried repairing the installation (three times), I made a clean OS Install, I reseted the user profile, Acrobat is up to date.

I asked google, I searched the forum, all I got are people with similar questions where a repair helped or the question is still unanswered.

I need a solution that works and doesn't require me to touch the pc every few weeks.

He is using a pc with Windows 10 Enterprise Edition LTSB (Build 14393) with Adobe Acrobat Version 2018.009.20050-de-inc

The problem might be with the LTSB Version of Windows, I know, but I would like to look for other possible solutions before I reinstall his pc again.

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Künzgmbh,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Please update the application to the latest patch released and check if that makes any difference.

You may refer this help document Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader for information on updates.

If the issue still occurs, please share the screenshot of the exact error message you get.

To add the screenshot here, please use the insert icon provided in the reply window as shown below:

Once you click on this icon, you get a small window.

Click on Insert Image and then browse the location where you have saved the screenshot file.

Select the file and click on Open > Insert Image.

Also, please check the properties of the document.

Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and go to File > Properties > Fonts. Check if the font mentioned in the error message is embedded in the PDF or not.

Please share the screenshot for the same.

If possible, can you share the file so we can check it at our end?

You can share the file using the steps mentioned here How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

We will be waiting for your response.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hello Meenakshi and thank you for your tipps.

Excuse the late answer. Here you can find the error message, the Information about the embedded Fonts and the file in question:

https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/6744f2d7-286d-4aee-bba2-9d979c706011

This is only one example, the user is still getting Errors about missing Fonts, from different files, with different Fonts.

Due to hardware issues, the pc was exchanged with a newly installed one, the problem is still there. The new pc is up to date, the newest Version of Adobe will be installed today.

Thank you for your help!
