Font changes itself automatically

Hi there,

maybe somebody is able to help me..

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Version 2017.009.20044 installed on a Win7 x64 (latest Updates installed) host system.

Whenever i am reading a document the font changes itself after some time. I didn't recognise wether it happens on restart of Adobe Reader or even while having the document opened.

After a reinstallation (done it several times), the font is the original one. After some time of usage it changes again.

Under settings the option use local fonts is disabled, i didn't change something else.

Does anybody have a clue what's going on there?

Thanks

    Hey,

    thanks for the fast answer,

I think I already figured out the problem.. As soon as I enabled the option use local fonts again, it changed.

A colleage of mine opened the document as well, and it looked different on his computer.

The doc is from Bosch Rexroth, maybe spanish or chinese branch, so maybe it's just one of their own company fonts which is not available on our computers.

Anyways with this setting enabled, it's readable.

    Thanks

    Hi @rebecca_9070

I hope you're doing well, and thank you for reaching out!

The behavior you're noticing is intentional. The option to enable or disable local fonts has been removed from the application's preferences. However, if you're encountering specific issues, please feel free to share more details so we can investigate further and provide the best assistance possible.

    Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I understand here that your document font changes automatically.

If that is the case kindly check if it happens for all files. If this is file specific, kindly share the file us at posingha@adobe.com
