Frutrated with Acrobat Reader updates

With the new Adobe Reader update I cannot save my work on my computer and then go back later and make changes to my pdf.  I use to do that all the time with the older version.  How can I get the older version?  I have chatted with Adobe, but no luck!

 

Please help.

Why can’t you save your work and go back to it later? Please be detailed. Also please tell us the version you run - not “latest” please.

The version I have is 2019.021120061. I used to be able to make changes to
my pdf after I saved it, but not anymore. Why?
