Getting pop-up to make change to the computer when trying to open pdf in Acrobat Reader

Why can i not get my files open with out saying yes to the initial question if I want to allow change to be made to your computer?

Then when I say yes.... I can open the file. But that file only.

I can not under the home or computer tag see all or any of my PDF files on my computer.

The spinner wheel just flickers most of the time when I try to do anything with Adobe.

I have had all the latest updates.

Nothing works like it should.

Any help would be appreciated.
