Having trouble converting word doc to pdf format.

I am having trouble converting MS word to the PDF format.  the error goes like this" an Unexpected error occurred".

    PDFMaker quits and does not create a PDF from MS Office 2007

    Acrobat XI: An unexpected error occurred. pdfmaker was unable to produce the pdf

    Could you let us know if you are trying to convert word document to pdf in Adobe Acrobat or online in a web browser at this link :https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf ?

    Also, the version of Acrobat installed on the machine: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

    And, the operating system installed on the machine- Mac/Windows?
