Help! Unable to open PDFs in Outlook.

I have tried everything from adjusting settings per other forum discussions, to updating from X to DC, to repairing the installation, to uninstalling and reinstalling. Why am I unable to open any PDFs through Outlook? I have Acrobat Reader DC version 18.011.20038.
