Hello!

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

++Adding to what our community product expert shared, Those “AcroRdrDCUpd…” *.msi and *.msp files in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\ARM\Reader_21.001.20155 are Acrobat Reader’s own installer and patch‐cache files. They let you repair or roll back updates, so by default, Adobe keeps them around forever.

Deleting all installer patches can prevent you from repairing or rolling back Acrobat if you run into trouble. We recommend keeping at least the latest couple of .msi/.msp files or relying on the Updater preference method.

You can manually delete old patches, Close Acrobat Reader completely. Go to the location: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\ARM\Reader_21.001.20155 (it may vary as per the installed version). Sort by Date and delete all but the two newest (or just leave the highest‐numbered .msi and .msp). Empty your Recycle Bin. Launch Reader to confirm everything still works.

Let us know if you need any assistance.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

never delete files unless certain. rename (eg, prepend the file name with am underscore or use a compressor).  after some time, if no problems, then delete.

in this case of reader update files:

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
