high power usage

hi all 
I noticed from few days that adobe reader freezes  a lot   
i checked task manager and found it uses half gb of my 8 gb ram and the power usage always red ( very high
and when i open adobe the fan statrt to work crazely ( non stop)
 any suggestion 
everything updtaed and i dont think that i have any virus or  malware 
as when i close adobe everything come back to normal
