    Hi Kryzst0f,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you want to disable the side panels from opening everytime, correct?

Please refer to the steps provided in the help article  - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/disable-right-hand-pane-in-acrobat-reader.html

Let us know if that works for you

    Regards,

    Amal

Thanks but the side panel still opens every time I click on the Comment Tool – this is fundamentally unhelpful – is there a way to stop that popup panel altogether ? The list of comments is 95% useless (it just fills up a chunk of useable screen space), also the Commenting Tools are all in a Toolbar at the top (I can’t help thinking the persistent, classic toolbars were better in some ways).

    Hello,

open a document and close the left and the right sidebar and then goes to the Options and activate:
"Restore last view settings whe reoppening documents" and "Remember current state of Tools Page"

after this close the Windows with the Button "Ok".

Close Adobe and reopening the document.
