How can I unlock a document to edit it?

I have a document on pdf  that was sent to me, but the person who sent it doesn't have the password, and I need to unlock it in order to edit it. Could you please tell me how I can do that?

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. 

 

Adobe doesn’t keep a track of the users document password to lock/unlock documents permissions. If the PDF owner has forgot the password, please ask him to create a new PDF from the original source file and share this new copy with you for further editing.
