Correct answer jnre

I am having the exact same problem. My files used to all be pdf files and now they are all converted to e pdf. I can't do anything with that!

Looking around for a solution...

Allen,

If you go into your control panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Associations,

Scroll down to find .pdf and select it so it is highlighted. Then go above the box on the upper-right hand side and select change program. You can then select adobe acrobat.

Problem solved.

I have no idea how Microsoft Edge was the default program on my computer.

Hope this helps.

Rahul,

Last week when I went to open a pdf file in my saved documents folder I noticed the normal Adobe icon was replace with an <https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://worthingtonindustries.com/getmedia/6d73dd43-978e-429c-a25f-e448a1370376/internet-explorer-logo&imgrefurl=http://worthingtonindustries.com/&h=300&w=300&tbnid=o_-uLUPop5borM:&docid=gZNz8zhaUwaYPM&ei=tj54Vv3rFcbImQGVn4_YAw&tbm=isch&ved=0ahUKEwj9nqjXxO3JAhVGZCYKHZXPAzs4yAEQMwhLKEgwSA> Image result for icon internet e pdf icon. I used MS Explorer. If I changed from MS Explore to MS Edge, the icon changes to an e pdf icon. I down loaded the new Adobe DC Reader, but it did not help. My file extension still show xxxx.pdf.

My files only open through an internet extension and not as a document.

Adobe customer service has given me a case number 0217366613.

Look forward to hearing from you.
