I thought this was a free download and when I install from Adobe, it asks for the serial number.

Please help.

Your question mixes up at least three different products, which may be why you are struggling to find it! Here are some products:

    * Adobe Reader XI: free, replaced by

    * Adobe Acrobat Reader DC: also free

    * Adobe Acrobat Standard XI: discontinued, paid for, replaced by

    * Adobe Acrobat Standard DC: permanent license or subscription (not free, no free trial)

    * Adobe Acrobat Pro DC: permanent license, or more advanced subscription version (free trial of subscription version).

    Hi Ianp96794014,

Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version) and Adobe Acrobat Standard XI (License or subscription) are two different products.

Acrobat Reader is a free application which you can download from Adobe's website or from the link below-

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

As Acrobat Std XI is a paid application so you have to buy the license or subscribe for its subscription if you want to use this.

    Hope this helps.

Since there is no product called Acrobat Reader Standard, I can only assume you have accidentally downloaded Acrobat Standard which is not a free product.

Get the free Reader here: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions
