Question

How do I rotate the text field so that I can type at different angles for an interactive form?

I've been making an interactive form across InDesign and Acrobat DC pro and I can't seem to find a way to get the text to type at the angles I want it too. I know how to change the text direction 90, 180 degrees etc, so that's not what I'm asking about. I can rotate the field in InDesign just fine, but it always saves as straight box when I export it.

If anyone knows whether it is at all possible and if it is how to go about it that would be greatly appreciated. I would understand if this wasn't a feature as I doubt few people would use an interactive form this way, but equally I don't see why it wouldn't be in some way possible.

Thanks in advance.

This is the forum for the free Acrobat Reader and of course, Reader cannot help here.

If you create the field in Acrobat, you can find text orientation in the field properties.

You're limited to 90, 180 and 270 degrees though.

Ah well, that's a little disappointing, but it's nice to get some clarity on that. Thanks for answering that for me.
