How do I run a document JavaScript to automatically turn off 'Open cross-document links in the same window' ?

I have been looking through the forms on this and I found one solution but it is not working in Acrobat DC. Has anyone got this to work? I wish they would just add this functionality into InDesign so its not a post export fix.

The solution was to add app.openInPlace = false; in the Document JavaScript in Acrobat.

Any suggestions?

Yes I did. I added it under the Document JavaScript. When I launched the PDF in a browser the hyperlinks still over rode the PDF page instead of opening in a new window.
