How to delete text from a comment?

Hi,say that I draw a comment shape (e.g. an oval) in Acrobat Reader. Initially it is without any text. You can add a text in the comment pannel or in the pop-up note. But you also do not need to add any text.Say that I have added some text. How can I delete the text without removing the comment shape completely?

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

Please try the following steps, and let us know how it goes.

Select the shape (click on the oval).
Open the Comments pane or the pop-up note that shows your text.
Highlight the text and press Delete / Backspace to clear it.
Close the note — the text will be gone, but the shape itself will remain on the page.

Important Note: This works only if commenting is enabled in the PDF. If the document is locked or certified, you may not be able to edit comments.
