Hi, good evening. I created a portfolio with Indesign and my file has a size of 36 mb. I need to reduce the size less than 20 mb.

I saw that the majority of the memory is composed by XObject.

How can I reduce this type of content?

Thanks

Adobe Acrobat reader can not optimize files. That would require the full version of Adobe Acrobat.

If you are creating the file using InDesign, you can adjust settings there when you create the pdf file. I would suggest getting info from the InDesign forum.

And if I were going to suggest one setting in the export settings in InDesign, it would be to lower the image resolution.

Thanks Man. I find a trick. I didn't know how my pdf file had a Big size. So I opened the file with Acrobat Pro and I exported each page and than I controlled the size of each page. I understood for example that one page had a size of 10 mb. Than I modified the single page with Indesign and exported this single page. After all, i deleted the old page and copied the new page and I controlled the size of folder that contained each page. After this controll I create a pdf file with Acrobat Pro and than the final size became 9 mb.

I hope this trick could be usefull for somebody.

    Bye!
