How to remove black upgrade popup from Reader

Good morning. I recently had to reinstall my computer and ever since, when using Acrobat Reader in the comments function I am getting a black pop up inviting me to upgrade if I want to add text, or delete text. It happens when I use the commenting tools to delete something or to add a word. How do I disable this pop up? It has an 'upgrade' link on it. Thank you.

Hi @AlisonLH

Thanks for reaching out.

We assume you are referring to upgrading Acrobat Reader to Acrobat Pro (subscription version). Is that right?

Change the following preference and see if that helps

To turn off the notifications on your computer, please try the following steps:

Go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > General > Uncheck 'Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat Reader' Under messages from Adobe. > Click OK and reboot the application.

Thanks,

Akanchha
