How to Remove/Disable Tools Option under Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Our company has an Adobe VIP agreement and we want all of the Adobe products ordered for our company to be under our VIP agreement.  We are trying to roll out Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on all of our computers, however, as the install is right now, through the Tools option, the users have the ability to go to the Adobe website and order products with a credit card.  We want to turn this off.  Tools can be accessed from Right Hand Plane(RHP), from view Tab and Main Tab of tools.  How do we turn off/disable Tools in all three locations?

Did you check in the Acrobat/Reader Enterprise Deployment Toolkit? Don't know if the option is there, but if it exists, that is where it will be documented.

Hello,

This did not resolve our problem.  As per the above information we are unable to click remove shortcut or unable to find the custom tool set files at

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\<version>\UICustomization\<anyname>.aaui

Or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat <version>\Acrobat\UICustomization\<language>\<anyname>.aaui

We were using the Enterprise installer for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC [AcroRdrDC1900820071_en_US.exe] that is extracted and patch AcroRdrDCUpd1900820074.msp is applied on the AcroRead.msi using the setup.ini file as below.

[Startup]

CmdLine=/sAll /rs /l /msi EULA_ACCEPT=YES /L*v "C:\Program Files\AppLogs\AdobeReaderDC19.008.20074.log"

RequireMSI=3.0

[Product]

PATCH=AcroRdrDCUpd1900820074.msp

msi=AcroRead.msi

[MSI Updater]

Path=http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/8.x/8.0/misc/WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe

We also tried the work around suggested by tmmcentyre - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1817184

Although this hides tools from Right Hand Plane and from the Home Tab. It still stays in the View drop down selection.

We want to achieve in removing tools from Right Hand Plane(RHP) and from view Tab  and Main Tab of tools.
