How to stop a downloaded .pst file from automatically saving as a .pdf on desktop?

I've downloaded my .pst file for Outlook from Carbonite several times and instead of saving as the original .pst file, it automatically saves as a .pdf on my desktop, which I don't want.  I want the original .pst file.  How do I stop this from happening?  Thanks!

    Hi Llpawsafoot,

As explained above, I assume that there could be a possibility that all of your files has been opening through the Acrobat because its not recognizing the .pst supported software installed on your computer.

If you have the .pst file supported software installed, then follow the steps suggested below-

Right click on any .pst file and select>Open With>choose another app>Check "Always use this app to open .pst files"

Or check with another web browser and try downloading the file again.

    Hope this would help.

    Regards,
