Question

How to switch to adobe reader with multiple documents open with a single click (Win10)?

When I have multiple documents open on adobe reader, and I want to switch to the adobe window, I have to first click on the adobe reader icon on the task bar, which opens a list of documents currently open on adobe reader, and then I have to click on the document I want to view.  Is there a way to set it so that when I click on the adobe reader icon, it immediately switches to the adobe program and to the active document (similar to switching to a browser)?  I would rather select the document I want using the tabs in the maximized window than have to squint at the thumbnails which my monitor doesn't have enough resolution to fully render at such a small size anyway.

Hi @calvinh71539647,

Hope you are doing well. Per the description, you want to disable the peek preview when switching to Acrobat.

Would you mind trying the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Open Windows Settings
  2. Select System
  3. On the right side, choose About
  4. On the left side, scroll down and choose Advanced system settings
  5. Switch to the Advanced tab if it's not already selected.
  6. Under the Performance section, select Settings.
  7. Uncheck the box next to:
    • Enable Peek
    • Save taskbar thumbnail previews
    • Show thumbnails instead of icons
  8. Press OK and then OK again to exit the Advanced system settings.

Once done, you should be able to open Acrobat using a single click instead of seeing the previews on the mouse hover.

Hope this helps.
