How to uninstall AI?

Hi,

 

I want to uninstall the AI assistant in Acrobat reader.  The instructions say, "navigate to Preferences > Generative AI."

 

I don't have a "generative AI" option in Preferences.  So how can I uninstall the AI?

    Hi,

     

    AI Assistant in Adobe Acrobat cannot be uninstalled separately because it is integrated into the software. However, you can disable or hide it to prevent usage. Here’s how:

    Disable AI Assistant (If Settings Allow)

    1. Open Adobe Acrobat.

    2. Go to Edit > Preferences (Acrobat > Preferences on Mac).

    3. Look for an option related to AI Assistant.

    4. Disable it (if available).

    5. Restart Acrobat.

     

    AI Assistant is deeply integrated into Acrobat’s modern updates, making full removal difficult. However, these steps should help disable or hide it as much as possible.
