How to view PDF in Chrome using Adobe Reader?

In the past there was a plugin that allowed to view PDF files directly in browser using Reader, in a container. Today, I don't seem to find it in Chrome. Chrome seems to offer two alternatives - either using its built-in PDF viewer, which is not as capable as AR, or to download the file for subsequent opening from Downloads - not as convenient.

I saw the thread at https://community.adobe.com/t5/Acrobat-Reader/Want-Reader-to-open-a-downloaded-PDF-automatically-Chrome/td-p/10248090 , but I don't see "click-to-open-pdf "in chrome://flags (Chrome 78.0.3904.97)
