HP OfficeJet 6110xi won't scan docs into PDF format

I have Acrobat Reader DC version 2015.023.20070 on my HP Pavilion laptop. When I scan several pages using an HP printer at work, it allows me to save into a PDF. However, at home, I have another HP printer - an HP OfficeJet 6110xi and it only scans into one-page images like JPEGs or TIFFs. How can I get my OfficeJet printer to scan into a PDF file (which records multiple pages as a single document)? I have scanned HP and Adobe sites but cannot find answer. Appreciate your help!

It's going to be a setting in your HP software so I would find a support avenue for that. Reader simply is used to view the results and has nothing to do with the scanning part.
