Hyperlink in PDF Does not Open My Browser

I have the latest Acrobat Reader DC Version 2017.012.20095 on my PC with Windows 10. I just confirmed that it would not open my browser when I click on a hyperlink in a document. Other applications (MS-Word, ThunderBird, etc.) seem to perform this function properly. Would appreciate some guidance.

Adobe Reader DC not opening hyperlinks

There is no doubt that something is happening with Acrobat Reader DC.

You are in trouble, not only you but others.

Fortunately Adobe seems to be proactively dealing.

They are now looking into this issue, and their Engineering Team is considering to fix it.

I will describe my experience.I made a document containing  URLs in Word and created PDF through Microsoft Print to PDF.

On August 9th, I had a opportunity that I made a new installation of Reader DC  and found that the version was newer than ever. Then I opened the PDF that I used so far and clicked URLs.

No reaction !!

I immediately thought this was an important specification change, or "bug". I looked up Known Issues and Forums. But nobody cares. I had to raise this unexpected behavior to Adobe as a bug report.

And now we have gained some knowledge of this strange phenomenon.

We only hope that the Engineering Team will deal with it as quickly as possible.

Thank you for confirming my observation. Otherwise, I would begin to think that my mind has gone crazy. Let's hope the bug-fixing will be forth coming. Luckily, this is not a detrimental problem because one can copy & paste the hyperlink / URL into the Browser's search bar and get going. Abe (2017-08-21 22:31)

I just checked on the Adobe Download page and found out the the version available is 2017.012.20093! The last digit seems to say that I am using a version that is two steps of the official release! What is happening? I would appreciate very much if anyone can explain.
