I am opening a local file and have (very often, to my taste) to log with my Acrobat identity

Why do I have to log, constantly, to Adobe to use Acrobat Reader to read local files. This was not the case before. And I find it so intrusive that I will change my PDF reader, if I cannot stop this.

yes this is happening to me as well. It seems that I have to log in at least once a day - shouldn't adobe know who I am and retain my userID and password. I pay a monthly fee
