Question

I cannot save PDFs on cloud after I add notes/modify them

Dear community,

I have been struggling for weeks since I have the need to modify pdfs and keep the same documents updated both on my computer ( windows) and my iPad.

I have several clouds ( iclouds, dropbox, google drive) that I can use after I modify the documents from the iPad.  However, when I try to do it from my computer ( where I use  Acrobat Reader) and I save the document in the folder of the cloud, it does not show the last modifications I did ( whereas it does it if I modify it from my iPad)

I also tried to save the files on what it should be the cloud of Acrobat Reader itself, but I just don't understand how to do it.  Maybe I need to pass to the premium version?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Antonio

@antonio_3681 I don't seem to have the issue, although, I am using Acrobat Pro. Maybe, there was a system issue (https://status.adobe.com/

But Acrobat Reader does NOT allow you to edit the PDFs:

You need the Standard or Pro versions: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/pricing/compare-versions.html

Hi,

Thanks a lot for you reply.

It's is extremely strange , because if I modify the PDF and save it in the local, it works perfectly.

Keep in mind that my modifications are only  highlighting and adding comments

Hi @antonio_3681,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with using Acrobat Reader.

When you try to make the changes to the files, and save them on the cloud, do you see any error messages?

Also, do you save the file once you are done with the highlighting and comments?

On the iPad, it would change from the highlight mode to the pointer mode, and on the desktop application, it would save the file outright by going to Menu > File > Save or Ctrl/Cmd + S.

If you see any error messages or if the files do not save, you might want to log in to https://adobe.ly/45ItFWt and check on the bottom left if you have enough storage space for Acrobat to save your file to the cloud storage.

Let us know your observations.

Regards,
Souvik.
