Hi,

I hope one of you can help.

I recently had to delete all Chrome extensions to get the browser stable. Since re-installing the Acrobat Reader extension, it's not working any longer.

I've spent over 30 minutes trying to get this to work, visiting Adobe sites, others third party sites, looking in Forums, I've looked everywhere and already read a lot and can't get the solution to this.

When I try opening a PDF page from my bank I get this message:

The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. You may not have the Adobe Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to use Adobe Reader. Hi Bernd,

Thanks for this.

This doesn't seem to be a PDF that can be downloaded, it's like a page that can only be displayed with Adobe reader?

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More  Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.
  5. Near the bottom, click PDF documents.
  6. Turn on Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome.
