I need to fill in forms in dual languages, english and thai. If I cut and paste or type Thai, I get English gobbledegook. How to fix? Reader DC on Win10

I need to use Fill and Sign on Reader DC to fill in answers in English, no problem, and Thai. I do not speak or type Thai, but can cut and paste from other documents. When I paste, however, I get English jumbled characters. I can find no way to switch fonts or character sets. Any suggestions?

Correct answer Grusa

That means the original file you're copying from has an incorrect font

encoding.

Thank you for the help! Lightbulb moment, however, I have just realised that the original giving the problem is a scanned, signed, paper document! I was fooled by the selection tool, which selected the text in rows just as it would if it were real text, rather than as a graphic. If I can persuade my OCR to recognise it - which I doubt - I will see what Reader makes of the output!

Sorry to have wasted your time!

Report the issue to the author of the form. They probably used an incorrect font for the fields. There's nothing you can do about it, most likely.

Thanks for the reply, but no point trying that! The form is a flat format, I am trying to use fill and sign.

It worked fine for me... What font are you using? Also, where are you copying the text from? Is it plain text, or does it have some kind of formatting?
