I subscribed to the free trial for acrobat pdf editor but it wont update to allow me to use it

I downloaded Acrobat Reader in order to view PDF files. I tried editing a PDF and it said I had to subscribe to the pro version in order to do so, so I subscribed to the pro version with the one week free trial. However, since then I cannot use the pro features such as editing a PDF file. There's a little loading thing in the top right and when I click on it it says "Upgrading Key Features" and below that "There were some installation issues. We are trying again."

It's been doing this all day and doesn't seem to be working. I signed out and signed back in and it's still the same. I also restarted my computer. How do I fix this?
