I'm trying to install Acrobat Reader, however during the install process Creative Cloud ends up installing Acrobat Pro instead. The problem is that Acrobat Pro slows down my PC and thats a problem for me.

What can I do?

Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

If you want to install Acrobat Reader, you can do so using this link: https://adobe.ly/4gVuNsi. However, if you have a subscription to Creative Cloud apps, including Acrobat, Reader will automatically convert into the full Acrobat application. Reader is a simplified version of Acrobat with limited features.

If you intend to use Acrobat, make sure you have the latest version installed: 24.005.20421 (Optional update, Feb 24, 2025). To check for updates:

  1. Open Acrobat.
  2. Go to Menu > Help > Check for updates.
  3. Install any available updates, then restart the application and your machine.
  4. Ensure that your operating system is also updated to the latest version.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
