Question

I want to install latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows 7 (not acrobat reader)

Recently got an update on my Windows 7 computer that upgraded my Adobe Reader to Acrobat Reader DC and I had issues with this program.

When I would select Default Email Client on an online PDF for emailing as attachment, it would never open an email window.

I also did not like the set up and appearance/functionality of this version and am looking to download the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows 7.

I went to the other versions download page and the best fit solution for a previous working program was Adobe Reader XI but for Windows XP as it would not give a previous download for Windows 7, only the current version.

I do not want to use Acrobat Reader DC but I do want the newest possible version of Adobe Reader for WIndows 7. Is there a away to obtain this program?

You can get earlier installers of Reader (for Windows) from here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/

Hi MitchL,

As you need to install the old version of Reader, you may install it from here Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

The latest version or Window 7 is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 18.011.20063.

With the updated version 19.008.20071, the support for Windows OS lower than Win 7 SP1 was dropped.

You have mentioned that you need the Reader, not the Reader DC, then you can install the Adobe Reader XI.

Please refer this link DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products for system requirements of each version of the application.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,
