IE with activated Adobe Reader Plugin stop working when opening PDF

Hi,

I have a question regarding this pdf file.

https://www.liebherr.com/external/products/products-assets/261870/NTB_A918Compact_AGSIV_de.pdf

If i try to open this file with IE and activated Adobe Reader plugin, IE or better Adobe Reader will stop working.

Do you know, why?

With Edge, Chrome and Firefox, we don't have this issue.

Also if i open the file outside IE (https://helpx.adobe.com/de/acrobat/using/display-pdf-in-browser.html), all is fine.

Thanks + Best regards

Stefan

Edit:

IE: 11.873.10586.0

Adobe Reader: 2017.009.20044

Hi all, sorry for the late reply.

After further investigation we found a bug in the webserver.

It seems that IE + Adobe Reader Plugin start a Multi-Download which contains generally a range.

    "Range: bytes=from...to".

And this range is answered wrong by the webserver.

    "Range: bytes=from...to, from...to, from...to, from...to".

This wrong answer and a 404 leads to a stuck adobe reader plugin.

    Thank you all!!

    Hi Stefan

I am Anasuiya, from the InDesign team, looking into your issue. Is it possible for you to share your InDesign document with us as a package (with links and document fonts) and also the original PDF that you generated from InDesign? You can zip the package and share it with anasgupt@adobe.com via Dropbox, or any other file sharing platform. It would be of great help in order to find out the root cause of this issue.
