iMac is polling something, running Safari.

This makes my iMac sluggish and gets hot.

Acrobat Reader, a plug in of Safari, must be wasting processor time by polling something, or doing an infinite loop, instead of suspending itself as a scheduler job, then waiting for interrupts.

Why not disable it to see if that's what is actually happening?
