    Hello Maurinp,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader 2018.011.20063 installed, check for any pending updates from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader.

It seems to be an issue with the fonts in the PDF file as they need to be fully embedded in the PDF file and not just subsets from the creator's end. And probably, the fonts are not available on your machine as well and this is the reason, Adobe Reader is throwing the error message.

If you have Acrobat installed on the machine, you can run Preflight Test for Fonts to check and fix the issue.

If you want us to test the file at our end, please use Adobe Send feature, login to https://cloud.acrobat.com/send using your Adobe ID(email) and password, upload the file, share the link to files via private message only, How Do I Send Private Message

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sri.
