Insane memory usage (leak) for Adobe Synchronizer on Mac

I have a problem with the Adobe Synchronizer background program. I'm using a Mac OS Catalina (10.15.4) on a MacBook Pro (15" mid-2014). In 1-2 days of Adobe Reader being open, this little background program ate up 27GB of memory. Large memory leaks have occurred repeatedly with this.
