Install Mgr upgrade

I am operating a Mac with the High Sierra os but have been notified that when I upgrade to the 64-bit Mojave os 32-bit applications will no longer be supported.  I have identified many applications on my Mac which are not 64-bit compatible including Adobe Flash Player Install Manager version 21.02.242 last modified on 5/19/16.  So my questions are: 1) Do I need this anymore or can it be moved to trash?; 2) If I will continue to need Install Manager what version should I have that is 64-bit compatible and where do I get it?  The Internet warms me that there are bogus versions of Install Manager out there that may cause my machine to be susceptible to harmful viruses.

You will probably find dozens or hundreds of bits of old apps. Personally I'd only worry when something doesn't work, assuming I've got everything up to date. It will probably be necessary to buy updates in the coming year to prepare.

I don't know who notified you of that, but they haven't given you correct information. 32-bit apps will still run in Mojave. But they will NOT run in the next system, 10.15.

This is the Acrobat Reader forum. Acrobat Reader is 64-bit. I doubt you need such an ancient and obsolete version of Flash, but please check at Flash Player . Indeed, never download any non official Flash: go only to Adobe, this is the number 1 form of attack out there.

Thank you for your reply. The notification came from Apple Support but you are correct that Mojave will support 32-bit apps, just not later versions. So my inquiry is premature yet I will have to contend with this sometime in the future. I used the Acrobat Reader Forum because I didn’t see any forum for Flash Player. Finally, I would like to mark this answer as “correct” but after following the link provided I see no “correct” below the answer to click.
