INSTALLATION IS A JOKE!

We installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, but we still cannot open our important document. I've never had a problem opening this document until now. It forced me to update Adobe. I went through every step, and then it ends with trying to get me to sign up to purchase products. Please help so I can open my documents!
