Installing Adobe Reader DC

Hello There,

I have been trying to re-install Adobe Reader DC since I was requested to un-install my version to effectively install an update.

The installation goes as far as 56%; then, it says that it could not install the reader...WHY?

Please give me some ideas to complete this; currently I cannot access any .pdf file, as I do not have any other .pdf reader installed.

I have followed all the trouble shooting steps to no avail.

Your suggestions to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Supriya,

    I have already used 'the cleaner' twice, to no avail.

    If my memory serves me correctly, this issue became apparent immediately after an Update to the program.

    Earlier instructions from the site instructed me to uninstall my DC Reader, because it had become corrupt.

    Since then, I have had NO .pdf viewer at all.

    I would like to know why I cannot install an earlier version of the Adobe Reader; the reader is only used on a personal

    computer, and all the extra 'whistles and bells' are not needed.

    Yes, the issue still persists.....It downloads to 50%; then installs to 56% (continuing on from the 50%).

    I did read on the site somewhere that Tech Services are aware of a problem with downloading in some cases; does

    this mean that I will have for this issue to be resolved?

    Hi DavidT2352,

    There is no such issue reported yet. Please mention any particular error you see during the installation.

    Hello Again Supriya,

    Thank you for your reply; however, the issue still exists.

    I have tried the link that you gave me twice (no success after using the "Cleaner" and rebooting each time; the error messages I

    now get is either "150201" or '1305'.

    It is now time for me to forget about Adobe Products, as your boffins have totally stuffed up with the last update, that required a

    uninstall and reinstall of the program....this is now impossible because of the useless update.

    I am fed up with trying so many 'workarounds' that DO NOT work; so my decision is to totally forget about Adobe since they have

    lost the plot by forcing that stupid update upon all users...there was never an opportunity to reject the update.

    That update was to give the geeks all the extra "Whistles and Bells" that are as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle!

    I am very disgruntled with Abode® now, and I am not going to waste any more of my valuable time on a lost cause.

    When you and your company see reason, and admit that you stuffed up with that update, I will NOT be using Adobe® Reader

    again, until you can convince me that it is not only stable, but also easy to access; you have lost an avid user.

    It looks like Foxit Reader® will have to do.

    I am very disappointed with Adobe®.

    P.S: I have been receiving on average 116 emails from the Adobe® Community, when only one is directly related to my issue.
