Installing older version of acrobat reader

I got a new laptop so had to download acrobat reader to it, and the latest version is so user-unfriendly that I cannot use it for my work.  I can't even find simple functions like enable scrolling, sizing, etc.  How can I find and download the older version? (version 2023.008.20458 according to the info on my old laptop).  Thanks

Adobe created something they call the New Experience, which can be disabled. Can you try this?

Steps to enable [and disable] the new experience

  • To enable the new experience, go to View > Enable new Acrobat and click Restart.
  • To disable the new experience,
    • Windows: Click the hamburger menu ( 3 lines ) at the upper left corner and choose Disable new Acrobat.
    • macOS: Go to View > Disable new Acrobat.

Details about the New Experience here:
