Question

Insufficient Memory Error or Blank Pictures

A large client of ours is getting a "Insufficient Memory Error" or "Can't display Image" where images just go blank on all of their Windows 8.1 Machines. It happens when the PDF has been open for about 1 hour.

This only occurs when the PDF is on the network. I rebuild a computer, then tested. It worked for quit a while. I then transferred a user's profile from another machine that had 8.1 to it - error came back. So it's something in that profile that is getting updated. After a rebuild the problem goes away for a couple weeks, then comes back.

We have tried:

- Disabling protected mode

- Adobe 11 and DC

- Changing network driver

- Rebuilding PC

- Ensured all updates are present

- Different documents - ones generated from difference sources (tax forms online too)

Is there anyone out there that knows a trick to get this to stop? We eventually are going to have them upgrade to Windows 10, but that is not an option for a couple of years.

Thank you,

Brad
