Sub: Introducing some features Adobe Reader

Respected sir/madam,

Synchronizing Reading Progress across multiple devices: As a long-time user of your software, I wanted to provide some feedback and suggestions for improving the Adobe Reader experience, particularly around the integration of reading progress synchronization across multiple devices.

One of the key features I have been eagerly awaiting in Adobe Reader is the ability to seamlessly synchronize my reading progress across different devices. As an avid reader, I often find myself reading books in various contexts - at home on my laptop, at the office on another laptop, and even on the go using a mobile device. I am using google drive as the cloud integration in all the devices. However, I have noticed that the current cloud integration features in Adobe Reader do not provide the capability to track and sync my reading progress across these different platforms.

In contrast, I have observed that other PDF and eBook solutions, such as Amazon's Kindle, do offer this valuable functionality. But they are capable of synchronizing only the reading progress for the books which I have bought from their library. But I want you to introduce the feature which would help me store all of my pdf files in google drive and the files reading progress would get synchronized. I do not know how your team is going to perform this task they may be creating a folder in the google drive where the files would be created which contains the information regarding the reading progress when the pdf file is closed. Being able to pick up right where I left off, no matter which device I am using, would greatly enhance my reading experience and productivity.

In today's modern, cloud-connected world, I believe implementing a robust reading progress synchronization feature in Adobe Reader would be a significant improvement. This would allow users like myself, who read extensively using your software, to maintain continuity in our reading habits and maximize the time we can dedicate to our literary pursuits.

Provide two configurations for opening PDF files and then display a dialog box to configure the pdf again for 20 seconds

Currently, when opening a PDF file in Adobe Reader, users are presented with two options - either the file opens from the starting page or from the last known reading progress. However, I believe this approach could be improved to provide users with more flexibility and control.

My suggestion is to introduce a new setting in the Adobe Reader preferences that would allow users to pre-configure the default opening behavior for PDF files. This setting would give users the ability to choose whether they want the files to open from the starting page or from the last reading position by default.

Furthermore, when a PDF file is opened, I propose that Adobe Reader should provide a discreet notification or message to the user, informing them of the current opening behavior. If the file is opened from the last reading position, the message should offer the user the option to start from the beginning. Conversely, if the file is opened from the starting page, the message should prompt the user with the option to continue from the last reading position.

This message should be designed to be unobtrusive, disappearing automatically after a reasonable time period (e.g., 20 seconds) or allowing the user to easily dismiss it and continue reading.

Storing last reading progress for more than 300 pdf files

Additionally, I would like to suggest that Adobe Reader should be capable of storing the last reading progress for a significantly larger number of PDF files than is currently possible. As an active reader who works with numerous documents throughout the day, I often find that the reading progress for many files is not retained. Increasing the file limit to at least 300 would be a much-appreciated improvement.

I hope you will consider this feedback and prioritize the introduction of a reading progress synchronization feature in the upcoming versions of Adobe Reader. As a loyal user, I believe this enhancement would be greatly appreciated by the Adobe Reader community and further solidify your software's position as the premier PDF viewing and management solution.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to seeing this improvement in a future release of Adobe Reader.

Sincerely,

Govinda Kumar Jaiswal
