Is it possible to PASTE into a PDF in Reader DC?

I fill in many forms in PDF format and used to be able to PASTE onto a PDF document. No more.

Cannot CUT nor PASTE. Is this a settings thing, or is this a Reader DC limitation?

Thank you

    Correct answer ~graffiti

I even opened it straight away and downloaded THAT to my puter. Opened that file in PDF Reader and STILL it is Paste-able.

I don't get this at all.

Yeah. I'm out of ideas here. Definitely something on your end but I'm not convinced that it is an issue with Reader itself. There is one more thing you can try if you want.

Go here and download the Adobe Acrobat cleaner tool and run it to remove any traces of Reader: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

One that is done, reinstall from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

It's more of a pain than anything else we've tried but usually cleans up any weird installation and other issues.

    Allow me to further explain:

For business I make a fair number of wire transactions.

The PDF fillable form to do such is on my bank's website. It DOES allow cut/paste.

It's kind of a pain to navigate to it each and every time....so, I downloaded the fillable form and click on it (located on my 'puter in a familiar place) whenever I need it. Easy!

EXCEPT, the downloaded fillable form does NOT allow cut/paste! The "PASTE" (right click) feature is "grayed out".

UGH! This is SO frustrating because, as I said, navigating to the bank's website location of the needed form is a pain in the *ss.

    Thanx in advance for info!

You're not viewing the PDF from the web-site, but from a local (temporary) file. The difference might be caused because you're using different PDF viewers to open the file.

Unless you can share a sample file that demonstrates this issue I don't think it will be possible to help you further.

This is the version on my 'puter.

How do I include the file? I do not see how to do this on this reply form.

    Thanx!

Maybe the value you're trying to paste is rejected by the field. Are you able to type in the same value?

When you can enter text in a form field you can also paste.
