Issue with Find Functionality
I am reposting this as it was marked answered despite not being so. I am aware of the Halo Effect box for the find functionality which would explain the blue box itself but would not necessarily explain why the difference in results? per my original question:
I should also point out that in the browsers where the functionality seems to be working fine, it finds 17 occurrences of a particular search term, but in Acrobat Pro's Advanced Search function, it finds 2661 instances in the same document.
Trying to understand why it is seemingly finding 1000s more instance of individual words...
******* ORIGINAL QUESTION *******
I have a document that, when performing a search for text, initially finds that text string in the PDF, but when moving to subsequent instances, shows a large blue box outline in the general area of a paragraph that does contain that text string and the text itself is not highlighted. If I try to move to the next instance, it stays on the same paragraph and seems to move the box horizontally the distance of what seems like a single character. This continues until it seemingly goes to the next line and starts moving from left to right with each subsequent result.
This does not occur when viewing the PDF in the Chrome or EDGE browsers, but does in Acrobat Reader, Acrobat Pro and Internet Explorer.
I should also point out that in the browsers where the functionality seems to be working fine, it finds 17 occurrences of a particular search term, but in Acrobat Pro's Advanced Search function, it finds 2661 instances in the same document.
Thoughts?
