Issues with: Attaching PDF to email using Acrobat DC

Hello,

I am having an issue where a user is unable to use the feature in Adobe DC( Fille/send file/ attach to email). When we go through this it brings up a "new email" window where we can "send" the email, but once sent it locks up Outlook which causes it to never send. I have to kill it through task manager.

I have repaired reader, made a new outlook profile and disabled attachment preview in trust center for Outlook(none have worked). Does anyone have any suggestions?

The current workaround is to save as to somewhere else such as the desktop and then to attach to an email manually, but of course the user isn't happy with this so I am reaching out.

Thanks!

Try installing the latest patch for Reader and see if that resolves the issue. Launch Reader > click Help > Check for Updates.

You can also download updates manually from this link: 17.012.20098 Out of cycle update, August 29, 2017 — Acrobat and Adobe Reader Release Notes

    Hi Dylanl,

What type of user access the user has on the computer? Is it standard user or local admin?

Does the user have full access to this location "User\AppData\Roaming"? Also, have you tried installing Microsoft office suite using offline installer method?

Let us know if any of these helps.

User is a local admin and has full access to their AppData\Roaming. I would like to refrane from reinstalling the office

suite. If this is absolutely necessary I can though. Just let me know, and if you have any other suggestions let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi Dylanl,

Could you let us know the dot version of Acrobat installed on the machine? You may refer to this link for the same: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Try toggling the Cache exchanged mode in Outlook and see if that helps.

1- Launch outlook > click File > Account settings > select the email account > change

2- Try enabling cached exchanged mode > click finish

3- Restart outlook and try again.

4- Also, check if an update for outlook is available.

Have you tried sending pdf using webmail option, does that work?

Also, let us know the operating system installed on the machine?
