Language is English instead German after installation

Hi,

this is the procedure:

  1. https://get.adobe.com/de/reader/
  2. On the top right side "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" click on "Acrobat Reader herunterladen" 306 MB.
  3. adobe_readerdc64_de_hi_install.exe 1,2 MB has been downloaded.
  4. After Installation the UI / menu is English.
  5. I uninstalled the application.
  6. https://get.adobe.com/de/reader/
  7. Center Bottom it shows: Ihr System:Windows 10,Englisch which is wrong, see attachment:
  8. I clicked on Verwenden Sie eine andere Sprache oder ein anderes Betriebssystem?
  9. https://get.adobe.com/de/reader/otherversions/
  10. Schritt 1: Windows 10
  11. Schritt 2: German
  12. Schritt 3: Reader DC 2022.002.20191 German Windows(64Bit)
  13. On top right I clicked "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" click on "Acrobat Reader herunterladen" 306 MB.
  14. adobe_readerdc64_de_xa_install.exe 1,2 MB has been downloaded.
  15. After Installation the UI / menu is English.

    Hello,

     

    Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble.

     

    Please try installing the application from the following page: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/.

    Select the "All Languages (MUI)" from the drop-down for Languages on the installer page.

    Then select the required version and download the installer.

     

    If the language is English after the installation, use the following steps:

    1. Launch the Reader DC and go to Edit menu > Preferences > Language.

    2. On the right-hand side, select "Choose at application startup" from the drop-down for Application language.

    3. Click on the OK button at the bottom of the Preferences window.

    4. Then, close the application and relaunch it.

    4. In the language pop-up window, select the required language and click on OK.

     

    Let us know how it goes.

    Hello Meenakshi,

    thank you for providing me this "Workaround".

     

    I already know the mentioned Enterprise Version from an earlier Thread:
    How to install further languages?

     

    For me as end user it's confusing that I select German but every time English UI / menu has been installed.

     

    Can anybody confirm my findings?

    If yes can you please inform the responsible Colleagues so that they can upload a new "adobe_readerdc64_de_**_install.exe" on https://get.adobe.com/de/reader/ which installs the German UI / menu?

      Had the same problem. Thanks to the workaround it works for me now too
