Hi there,
Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the Italian language not showing up in Adobe Reader after reinstalling. Here are a few things you can try:
1. Check if Italian is installed via Preferences
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Language and:
- Under Application language, ensure "Choose at application startup" or "Same as the operating system" is selected.
- Restart the app and see if you're prompted to choose a language.
- If Italian still doesn’t appear, then it might not have been downloaded during reinstallation.
2. Repair the installation
- Open Adobe Reader
- Go to Help > Repair Installation
- Let the process complete, and then restart the app
- This can sometimes re-trigger the download of missing language packs.
3. Reinstall with Italian support
- If the above doesn’t work, you may want to:
- Uninstall Reader completely
- Reinstall it from the official Adobe Reader download page https://adobe.ly/4lWjFiG
- Before downloading, click “More download options”, and select Italian as the preferred language
Currently, Adobe doesn’t officially provide standalone language packs for manual installation. So copying a language folder from another machine might not work as expected or be stable.
Let us know how it goes.
