Layers not showing from bought pattern?

I bought a sewing pattern recently, and wanted to print a layer from it, but when I open it up with Adobe Reader the layers option is not visible. I have added the icon into the lefthand side bar but the layer icon is empty when selected?

This seems to be happening with nearly all my patterns that I have bought.

I am confident that there are layers within the pdf pattern as i have discussed it with fellow users from the FB chatter page. And nobody else seems to have this issue... plus the instructions for the pattern explains how to print the required layer needed.

please help!

I have the same problem. The screen downloading from the download is not how the sender shows it in her instructions for printing a single size. There are no side panel options apart from the pages showing all layers superimposed. There is no layers icon anywhere and none of the limited menus brings it up either. Basically what I am downloading is not as the sender sees it

If there are layers in the file the Layers icon should appear in the left-hand side panel. If you don't see it try disabling the (buggy) New Reader UI, via the Options menu.
